COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS (December 28, 2010) – Heads turned when a “new look” College Station Medical Center ambulance hit the streets of Brazos County in December.
The vehicle exterior bears the colors, logo and 30-Minute ER Commitment slogan of the College Station Medical Center.
This one-of-a-kind ambulance was made possible through an exclusive arrangement between The Med and Guardian EMS, the state’s largest ambulance provider.
“When it comes to ambulance service in Texas, is a trusted and respected provider,” said Tom Jackson, College Station Medical Center CEO. “We are pleased to work with them in the care of our patients.”
The full-service ambulance will be stationed at The Med where it will be available 24/7 for emergency and non-emergency transports. It is equipped with emergency care technology and tools and will be staffed with fully-certified paramedics.
While this particular unit will be used primarily for transporting patients to and from the College Station Medical Center, it can also be used to carry patients to other health care facilities.
Guardian EMS is a fully licensed ambulance provider based in Columbus, Texas. It operates a fleet of 78 ambulances in 19 Texas counties where it responds to more than 50,000 emergency calls each year.
